Latvian companies are increasingly taking the next step in digital development, and the results of the Latvian Digital Accelerator clearly demonstrate this in numbers.
The European Union co-funded project “Latvian Digital Accelerator (DAoL)” has become a significant support mechanism for business digitalization in Latvia. Several key indicators have already exceeded initial targets, showing strong demand and real impact.
By February 25, 2026 - 2,035 applications had been received, 2,417 decisions made, and 1,038 support agreements signed. This confirms that companies are actively using the opportunity to assess their digital needs in a structured way and receive professional support.
A total of 1,752 digital maturity assessments were carried out, with 85% conducted for businesses and 15% for public sector representatives. In addition, 315 follow-up assessments were completed, indicating a long-term approach and a willingness to measure progress rather than just initiate change.
Based on these assessments, 1,114 digital transformation roadmaps were issued, covering both accelerator services and digital skills development—strengthening team competencies and readiness to work with new technologies. Additional roadmaps were developed in cooperation with LIAA, ALTUM, and competence centers.
The digitalization projects supported by the European Union-co-funded project "Digital Accelerator of Latvia (DAoL)" have reached a total project value of 6.45 million euros, including attracting 3.38 million euros in investment for the digitalization of companies.
For experimentation, piloting, and testing, 46 grants of up to €20,000 per service were allocated, allowing companies to safely test new technologies before making larger investments.
Survey data also confirms practical impact on business performance. More than 70% of companies report profit growth or positive trends after implementing digitalization, while about half have already achieved or partially achieved a positive return on investment. Nearly 60% of companies have reduced administrative workload by at least 6 hours per month, with some saving over 20 hours. Additionally, more than half of companies are attracting new customers through digital tools, and some have already increased employee salaries as a result of improved productivity.
These results show that digitalization in Latvia is no longer just a concept or a future plan—it is becoming concrete action with measurable returns.
The Latvian Digital Accelerator demonstrates that structured support, expert involvement, and practical tools help companies move from ideas to implementation, and from testing to growth.
For companies still considering digitalization, these figures send a clear signal: change is happening, and support is available.
