Valmiera is preparing for the region’s most ambitious business event – “Vidzeme Entrepreneurs’ Days 2026”, which will take place on May 22 and 23. This year, the event not only honors traditions, but also undergoes a transformation, combining a business forum with an inspiring urban event “The Art of Being an Entrepreneur”.
Vidzeme Entrepreneurs’ Days have historically been the preserve of the Vidzeme branch of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), but this year the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA), in cooperation with the Valmiera Regional Municipality, the Valmiera Development Agency (VAA) and the LCCI, is creating the event in a new format. Its goal is to strengthen the region’s economic development and promote direct dialogue between entrepreneurs and government representatives on what needs to be done so that companies can export more and develop faster.
“Vidzeme Entrepreneurs’ Days 2026” is open to both entrepreneurs working in Vidzeme, as well as representatives of local governments and state institutions, promoting closer cooperation in the region. It is planned that in the future this will become a “traveling” event, which could be hosted by other Vidzeme municipalities on a rotational basis or organized by several regions together.
May 22: Vidzeme Entrepreneurs’ Forum
“Vidzeme Entrepreneurs’ Days 2026” will open with the Vidzeme Entrepreneurs’ Forum, where experts and entrepreneurs will share practical experience, highlighting export as a strategic growth decision. The goal of the forum is to strengthen the export capacity of regional companies, providing inspiration and recommendations for both taking the first steps in the international environment and for developing new export markets.
Representatives of LIAA, LTRK, ALTUM and VAA will participate during the forum with information stands and consultations on support programs.
May 23: “The Art of Being an Entrepreneur”
On the second day, “Vidzeme Entrepreneur Days 2026” will continue in Vecpuišu Park, where the event “The Art of Being an Entrepreneur” will take place, this year offering a new format – an exhibition, a market and a stage program. Through real examples, visitors will be able to discover the essence of entrepreneurship – the ability to turn bold ideas and work into lasting values.
“Vidzeme Entrepreneur Days” will allow everyone interested – from an experienced exporter to a curious young person – to see entrepreneurship as an art and the driving force of the economy.
